Naked Copenhagen expands to Paris, opens first store outside Denmark

Must read

Danish sneaker brand Naked Copenhagen is finally opening its flagship store in Paris. As part of the Courir Group, the multi-brand concept targeting women is located at 38 Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie, in the trendy Marais district of Paris’ 4th arrondissement. This will be the company’s first store outside Denmark, which already has two stores.

Stein Lindholm Pedersen, co-founder of the company, which was founded in 2004 with Thomas Olsen, said: “For five years now, we have been actively working to establish a presence in Paris, which we have called home for two years. I tried my best,” he says. “Things have come to a standstill due to COVID-19, but we continued to believe in this dream and strived to make it come true. Now, Naked He Copenhagen is a bustling place in our favorite neighborhood. I found the place down the street.”

The new facility measures 300 square meters and boasts a Scandinavian aesthetic characterized by clean lines, organically shaped furniture, and rich colors such as sky blue and fresh buttery yellow. A large screen inside the boutique also displays lifestyle images of women wearing sneakers.

In the footwear field, we offer sports brands such as New Balance, Asics, Nike, Adidas, Timberland, and Saucony. We also carry ready-to-wear featuring luxury brands such as Stüssy, Martine Rose, Kernemilk, Oval Square and Aries. Additionally, accessories such as eyewear, bags and candles complement the range.

Even though this multi-brand store primarily caters to women, it does not exclude men from its clientele. In fact, the shoe sizes shown go up to size 43, and there are also several pairs of children’s sneakers.

According to the CEO, the brand also aims to expand across major European cities. She added: “Looking ahead, the brand is also looking further afield, from the United States, where I grew up, to Asia, especially New York and Los Angeles, and Tokyo and Shanghai.”
