New Zealand confirmed to play Ireland in November

Must read

New Zealand have announced they will play Ireland as part of their Northern Hemisphere tour this November.

The All Blacks announced this year’s schedule on Wednesday, with a mouthwatering rematch against Andy Farrell’s side set for Saturday, November 9th.

The two teams clashed in the World Cup quarter-finals last October, with New Zealand losing the match 28-24. It was a desperately bitter pill for the Irish to swallow, but in just over 10 months they would get a chance at a little revenge.

New Zealand last visited Dublin in November 2021, when Ireland won 29-20.

Farrell then led the team to a famous series victory in New Zealand the following summer, but the New Zealanders had the last laugh when they won the World Cup. They made it to the finals, but lost to South Africa.

Farrell’s immediate focus is on the Six Nations against France on Friday night. But the All Blacks blockbuster is the perfect way to improve his focus in the long term, with Farrell set to leave Ireland in December to focus on managing the Lions’ 2025 tour of Australia.
