Northern Ireland’s most Instagrammable spots have been determined in a survey carried out by travel experts Deals Point ahead of Valentine’s Day.

The study analyzed Northern Ireland tourist destinations by the number of Instagram hashtags associated with each location, with 18th-century Mussenden Abbey topping the list with 30,892 hashtags.

Perched on a sea cliff near Castle Rock, Massenden Abbey rises over the Atlantic Ocean and boasts stunning views of the Downhill Strand and distant views of County Donegal’s Inishowen Peninsula.

With 22,107 Instagram hashtags, County Antrim’s Glenariff National Forest has been named Northern Ireland’s second most Instagrammable hotspot on Valentine’s Day.

The forest area covers more than 1,000 hectares and includes numerous forests, lakes, waterfalls, and outdoor recreational spaces.

Downpatrick’s Castle Ward ranks third on the list, largely due to its association with HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones.

Built in the 1760s, the castle overlooks Strangford Loch and was used as the filming location for Winterfell for eight seasons of Game of Thrones.

County Antrim’s iconic Giant’s Causeway comes fourth on the newly published list.
