Denis O’Sullivan has been ruled out of international friendlies against Italy and Wales through injury, while Peamount United teenager Erin McLaughlin receives her first call-up.

North Carolina Courage’s O’Sullivan bruised his knee in a preseason game against the Orlando Pride.

Tyler Toland will also miss this game with a minor knee injury.

McLaughlin Peas teammate Jess Fitzgerald also joined the group.

Fitzgerald, 17, from Lucan, was promoted from Ireland Under-19s.

Louise Quinn underwent tests for a shoulder injury last week and is back to health.

The team will gather in Florence on Monday and train at Viola Park, home of ACF Fiorentina, in preparation for Friday’s match against Italy.

They will return to Dublin to train after the match and will face Wales at Tallaght Stadium on Friday 27th February.

These two matches will be played as part of preparations for the UEFA EURO 2025 qualifiers, which will begin in April following the draw on March 5th.
