Sienna D’Alessandro scored two goals, striker Zablocki scored one goal and provided three assists, and Rhys Logan also scored for Canada, who finished first in Group A with a 3-0 record and 29-1 goal difference.

Canada will play the loser of Wednesday’s game between Switzerland and Slovakia in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

Canadian goaltender Hannah Clark stopped seven shots for the shutout victory.

Kertu Kuja-Harkola conceded five goals on 26 shots, but was replaced by Lilia Fovinen midway through the second period. Fovinen gave up 5 runs on 32 shots in relief.

Canada aims to win for the third consecutive year.

In Group A, Finland took second place with 2 wins and 1 loss, followed by the Czech Republic with 1 win and 2 losses, and Germany with 0 wins and 3 losses. On Tuesday, the Czech Republic defeated Germany 6-1.

Group B matches end tomorrow. The United States will play Sweden, with the winner finishing first in the group, before Slovakia and Switzerland battle for third place.
