Crown Princess Mary of Denmark was photographed holding hands with Crown Prince Frederik at a Christmas Eve event.

The royal couple, along with their four children, showed affection for each other at a church service amid allegations of an affair between the prince. The rumors rocked the family last month, but the couple looked loved up as they headed to Aarhus Cathedral on Sunday.

Mary, 51, and Frederick, 55, joined Prince Christian, 18, Princess Isabella, 16, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine before visiting Marcelisborg Castle with Queen Margrethe of Denmark on Christmas Day. (both 12 years old) were seen going out together.

The Queen attended the ceremony, as did Frederick’s brother Prince Joachim, his wife Princess Marie, and their children Count Henrik and Countess Athena. In November, the prince was accused of having an affair with Mexican socialite Genoveva, 47.

A photo of Frédéric and Genoveva enjoying a night out at a bodega in Madrid was published in the Spanish-language publication Lecturas. They were seen watching flamenco dancing and eating until the early morning hours. However, the socialite said the rumors were “malicious”.

Princess Mary has remained silent, but she and her husband have been acting “business as usual” in public. A few days before Christmas, she shared a cryptic letter about loneliness and the need for positive relationships during the festive period.

It was after she went on holiday to New Zealand with her three children and Frederick. In a post on the Mary Foundation website, Mary reflected on this year and admitted that it felt shorter than usual. “And at the same time, so much happened that it’s impossible to put it all into words,” she continued.

“To succeed, we need each other, and that doesn’t just apply to the working world and those of us striving to combat social isolation,” it reads. “This is true for all of us. Humans need humans.” The Instagram snippet was posted alongside a princess in the snow.
