Queen Mary celebrated her first birthday as Queen of Denmark on Monday, February 5th.
And in honor of her special day, we’re sharing some of her boldest and brightest looks.
The 52-year-old is known for her impeccably honest style and often re-wears pieces in her wardrobe that are more than 10 years old.

Mary also turned to Birgit Hallstein for changes and tweaks to solidify her status as a sustainable royal.
As well as Australian and British fashion brands, the mother of four has championed Danish designers including Jesper Hobling.
Let’s take a look back at some of her most memorable looks to celebrate her birthday.
enchanting red
Weeks before the 2004 Royal Wedding, Mary turned heads in this striking red satin dress with a fitted bodice and bustle detail by wedding dress designer Uffe Frank.
Even more impressively, before her marriage to Prince Frederik, she was loaned a Danish ruby parure tiara that dates back to the 1800s.
golden girl
During her early royal years, Mary favored one-shoulder dresses, and she rocked this gold ruffled dress to the Danish Red Cross Gala Dinner in 2014.
She paired it with a corset-style belt, statement earrings, and a black feathered clutch bag.
pink and cute
This striking pink David Anderson number has been worn by Mary several times since its debut in 2011, most recently making a comeback in 2022.
The then Crown Princess wore the dress with a diamond and pearl wedding tiara to Prince Albert and Princess Charlene’s wedding dinner.
green and gorgeous
Mary’s off-duty style is just as chic, as evidenced by this flowing Ilse Jacobsen pleated dress for a photo shoot during the 2014 Danish Royal Family Vacation.
Beautiful bright orange color
Mary loves midi dresses, and this burnt orange number by Marc Jacobs was her vision for her official visit to Seoul, South Korea in 2019.
She redid her wardrobe again, debuting bright dresses for the first time in 2012.
purple reign
Mary first wore the plunging Prada dress during a state visit to Thailand in 2008, and brought it back during a trip to Italy last year.
teal in texas
Mary commissioned Jesper Hoebling to create this stunning teal dress for her reception during her official visit to Texas in 2019. The queen usually opts for a signature blowout, but we love this wavy hairstyle.
Mikan’s dream
This was the first dress Mary wore by Jesper Hoebling in 2010, and in true her style, this striking dress was worn on several outings, including the New Year’s Banquet in 2013. It has appeared.
cute pastel colors
Mary looked super chic in a 3.1 Phillip Lim white puff-sleeve blouse and candy-colored pants for the 2021 Human Rights Conference.
life is a peach
Mary made a statement during her 2022 visit to the Netherlands wearing a peach pantsuit by Australian designer Scanlan Theodore.
