Shrove Tuesday: The best places to eat pancakes in Ireland revealed

Must read

The best places to eat pancakes in Ireland have been revealed, just in time for Shrove Tuesday.

Today, also known as Pancake Day, is the day before the start of Lent. Lent is a seven-week period observed by Christians around the world, during which they often abstain from luxuries and sweets as a form of abstinence in the lead-up to Easter.

In ancient Ireland, families would empty their homes of groceries such as eggs and sugar on Shrove Tuesday in preparation for Lent, which began the next day.

The best way to do that is to make pancakes in bulk.

Today is Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Day.
