Springbok center Rohan Janse van Rensburg and Irish flyhalf Joey Carbery are heading to France next season, according to reports.
Carbery’s departure from Munster has already been confirmed, but it has also been reported that Janse van Rensburg will also leave United Rugby Championship alongside Carbery.

french publications southwest Bordeaux reported a few weeks ago that they had secured the signing of the international pair.
The newspaper added that Sharks center Janse van Rensburg has signed a three-year contract with the French side. The former Bok midfielder joined Durban-based Sharks from Sale in 2022, but has recently fallen out of favor under new head coach John Plumtree. He will partner with former Sharks assistant coach Yannick Blue.
Carbery, meanwhile, has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons and has fallen down the table for Munster and Ireland. He will reportedly sign a two-year deal with Bordeaux, giving France international Mathieu Jalibert a competitive No. 10 jumper role and also cover as a full-back.
The news of his new signing at Bordeaux was announced following his reported departure.
southwest Bordeaux will also be bidding farewell to hooker Clement Maynadier, lock Jeandre Marais, lock Kane Douglas, fly-half Zac Holmes, winger Madosh Tambwe and back-rower Antoine Mikel.
Mainadier, Marais and Douglas are expected to end their careers at the end of the 2023/24 season, with the latter trio set to be released.

The signing of two international players further strengthens Bordeaux’s impressive recruitment drive for next season.
Scottish international lock Jonny Gray is set to join the club from Exeter Chiefs, along with Wallabies and Waratahs blindside flanker Lachlan Swinton.
They also made local signings, securing the signatures of Bayonne’s Matisse Perchaud and Oyonnax’s Enzo Ravier.
