The top 10 best places to live in Ireland have been revealed. And they may not be where you expected.
Mortgage experts Switcher.ie have identified the five best places to live in Ireland, based on your ability to maintain a work-life balance. She is located in one of the two most naturally beautiful counties in Ireland.
Factors used to create this list include broadband speed and 5G mobile coverage, nearby sports and leisure centres, nearby cafes and coffee shops, and nearby major supermarkets. The study also looked at green spaces such as national and public parks and gardens, elementary schools, GP surgery facilities, and proximity to major roads and bus stops.

Taking the top spot on our list of the best places to live in Ireland is Castlebar on the Isle of Mayo. “It’s a vibrant town with plenty of leisure facilities, shops, cafes, good transport links and green spaces,” the list revealed.
“Affordable housing, low crime rates, and easy access to schools and health services make this area a great place to balance work and family life.”
The second spot on the list is Ballina, also on Mayo. The town was praised for being “with the River Moy and Belleek Forest on its doorstep.”
The study said: “The small town of Ballina in County Mayo has the best of both worlds. Affordable housing, excellent local amenities and accessible services in such a beautiful location make Ballina a great place to work. , making it a great town to raise a family.”
Third place went to Longford. “Longford has the lowest prices and good access to schools, supermarkets, local services and leisure facilities,” they said.
“With excellent 5G and full-fibre connectivity, it’s an ideal place to live and work on a budget. However, rising crime rates may make it less attractive for families.”
The rest of the top 10 list is made up of Wexford, Arklow, Wicklow, Cavan, Ashbourne, Athlone and Athy.
