A new report evaluates 108 countries based on social and infrastructure factors and finds that Europe is the best place for remote work in 2023.

A new report by cybersecurity platform Nordlayer analyzes where the best places to be a remote worker are around the world. The results show that Europe not only makes up the top 10, but most of the top half.

Main findings
Although the top rankings were dominated by European countries, the report’s authors also noted that these countries, including Denmark and other Nordic countries, all have high prices.
The only exception is Portugal, which ranks 6th overall but is significantly lower in terms of cost of living (56th), making it the most cost-effective country for remote workers among the top 10 European countries. .
