Finland to participate in Eurovision Song Contest
Finland first competed in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961 and has continued to participate in all but six years since, largely due to poor performance the previous year.
The Finns have won this competition once before, in 2006 with the song “Hard Rock Hallelujah” performed by Rhodey. Finland’s best finish since then was second place in 2023.
Since the semi-finals were introduced in 2004, Finland has qualified for the Grand Final 11 out of 19 times.
