“You’ll Never Beat The Irish” would be a good song.”
Late last year, Ireland’s ‘Meanwhile’ people posted a satirical article claiming that Wolf Tones were set to represent Ireland at Eurovision with a controversial remix of the classic song ‘Celtic Symphony’.

Of course, the first installment was purely for comedic purposes, but it gained so much attention that they contacted the Wolf Tones themselves to ask if they were really going to take part in Eurovision.
In response to their questions, the legendary rebel band confirmed they would never turn down an opportunity to represent Ireland and even confirmed what songs they would like to sing.

Wolfe Tones, who will go down in Irish music history, have previously insisted they want to be on a high before retiring after announcing gigs in Belfast and Dublin later this year.
But Eurovision could also be on the cards – let’s hope so.
When asked if they would consider representing Ireland’s Hornples on the big stage in Europe, Wolfe Tones’ official Facebook page confirmed that they would, saying: “The Wolfe Tones will never give up the opportunity to represent Ireland.” I have no intention of missing out and am honored to be able to participate.” Do it on the Eurovision stage.
“‘You’ll Never Beat The Irish’ would be an appropriate song.”
