This morning, a YouTube star wearing denim hot pants with fireworks on them won Finland’s Eurovision national selection contest.
Windows95 man This morning (AEST), he won the national UMK competition at the Nokia Arena in Tampere with his song “No Rules” featuring vocalist Henri Pispanen and will represent Finland in Malmö.
The winners were selected by a combined vote of seven international jurors (25%) and Finnish citizens (75%).
In the international jury vote, Sara Siipola came out on top with 70 points, followed by Sian Kix with 48 points and Mikael Gabriel x Nuburu with 42 points.
Next, the public results were announced, and Windows95Man jumped from the bottom to gain 285 public votes.
Windows95Man won overall with 313 points, ahead of second place Sara Siipola with 273 points, and Mikael Gabriel x Nublu took third place.

Finland will be hoping Windows95Man and Henri do even better than the highly popular 2023 entrants. Kaliya, finished second to Sweden’s Laureen at Liverpool. Karliya was a breakout star at last year’s Eurovision, and this morning she returned to perform as part of UMK’s internal act, with the help of guest vocalist Erika Vikman.
Before that, they performed their new single “Ruoska”. Kaliya They reprized their Eurovision hit “Cha Cha Cha,” which was also covered by the Finnish National Orchestra earlier in the show.
Eurovision 2024 will be held in Malmo, Sweden from May 7th to 11th. Windows95Man will represent Finland in the second half of Semi-Final 1.
